What we do at Business by Design is Business Process Engineering to improve Business Process Efficiency. As conveyed in the material on this website, a Process is a structured sequence of actions that utilizes Tools to produce outputs. Therefore, our work focuses on Process Structure, Process Actions, and/or Process Tools. We can help you Process Solve an individual problem or help you achieve the highest attainable efficiency for your business by defining a roadmap of Process Evolution which applies our efforts to all three areas.

Process Structure

Process Structure design focuses on all the functional parts of a Process and how they work together. This involves clearly defining the functional parts and examining how the they  connect to each other to eliminate inefficiencies in their interaction.

Process Actions

Design work on Process Actions strives to define all the actions and resources necessary to complete a Process and then order those actions and resources in an efficient manner. Work at this level helps to identify inefficient actions that present opportunities to apply Process Tools to increase efficiency.

Process Tools

Process Tools help to assure that all the actions in a Process get completed in an efficient manner. Process Tools come in all forms and some are more efficient and effective than others.  Most work in this area results in a computer tool of some sort because of the vast opportunities to handle information better.

Customer Relationship Model

Unless we're asked to provide a custom software tool that the customer knows exactly what's needed, Business Process Engineering requires an in-depth understanding of the business functions. This requires a lot of discussion and observation to develop a clear enough picture of what's needed to improve performance based on the efficiency goals of the customer.

Effectively working with a client starts with a common understanding of how our Process theory applies to Business Operations. That is where the information on this website comes in. It serves as a starting point to develop a common understanding of how Business Operational Efficiency can be improved through Process Solving. Subsequent discussions are used to convey specific details of possible Process solutions and their scope. We then spend time observing how a business's Processes function and identify areas where significant improvement can be made. From the information we gather, solution proposals are developed to provide the customer with enough information to make a decision on what Process solutions to implement.

We want to develop close relationships with our clients and always be available to solve Process problems as they arise going into the future.
